Neyapsak is a web app that suggests random places to go in Ankara. Neyapsak has no sign-up, no accounts, and no login. We don't ask for your name, phone number, or email to use the site, and we never sell your data. This page explains, plainly, what we process, why, and who we share it with.
Who we are: Neyapsak (neyapsak.net) is the data controller. For anything on this page you can reach us at [email protected].
2. Data we process
Location: If you use "Near me" or the dice on the home page, your browser asks for your GPS coordinates. They're sent to our backend (Supabase) solely to find places near you for that one request, then discarded — we don't store them, don't build a location history, and keep them out of our analytics. You can always decline; the site still works by picking a district manually.
Technical / log data: Like every website, our host receives your IP address, device type, and browser type. This is kept for security and basic operational logs by our hosting provider.
Usage / analytics data: We use Google Analytics 4 to see, in aggregate, how the site is used — page views and simple interaction events (rolling the dice, picking a category or district). This helps us improve Neyapsak. See section 4.
3. Cookies
Neyapsak sets no advertising cookies of its own. The cookies in play come from us and from embedded Google services:

Analytics (Google Analytics): e.g. _ga, _ga_* — set by Google only after you accept in the cookie banner, to count visits and understand usage.

Embedded Google Maps: venue pages show an in-page Google map; loading it lets Google set its own cookies (which can include personalization cookies), governed by Google's policy.

Essential / hosting: our host (Cloudflare) may set a technical cookie for security and performance.
You can block or delete cookies anytime in your browser settings (see section 4).
4. Analytics & how to opt out
Google Analytics 4 collects a limited, mostly aggregated set of data (page path, approximate region from your IP, device/browser, interaction events like a dice roll). We don't use it to identify you personally, and we strip your precise GPS coordinates out of the data sent to analytics. You can opt out in any of these ways:

Reject analytics in the cookie banner shown on your first visit — then no analytics cookies are set at all.

Block or clear cookies for this site in your browser settings.

Install Google's official Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Enable "Do Not Track" or use your browser's private/incognito mode.
You can change your decision about analytics cookies at any time.
5. Third-party services
Some parts of Neyapsak rely on third parties. Each has its own privacy policy, which applies once your data reaches them:

Google Analytics — usage analytics.

Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google, which receives your IP.

Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery (CDN).

Supabase — our backend/database that powers suggestions. It receives your chosen category/district and, for "Near me", your coordinates for that single query — never your name or an account (we have none).

Google Maps / Apple Maps — venue pages embed a Google map that loads in-page, and opening directions hands you off to Google or Apple Maps. Either way they receive your IP and apply their own privacy policy.

6. International transfers & retention
Providers like Google and Cloudflare may process data on servers outside Türkiye. Analytics data is retained for a limited period on Google's side per their retention settings; location data is not retained at all. We keep no personal profiles of our own.
7. Your rights (KVKK & GDPR)
Under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (No. 6698) — and, if you're in the EU, the GDPR — you have the right to access, correct, delete, and object to the processing of your data. Because Neyapsak keeps no accounts and stores no directly identifying data of its own, there is in practice very little data to act on. For any request, email [email protected].
8. Children's privacy
Neyapsak is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves (for example, if sponsored listings are added). The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
